Ergonomic Education, Training and Facilitation of Work and Organisational Change

Manual Handling Training & Manual Task Risk Assessments

  • Applying manual handling and task risk assessment to the work environment (examples of work areas: Power station operators, nursing staff, radiographers, process line operators etc.)
  • Assisting workplaces implement manual task risk assessments – e.g WorkSafe NSW’s PErForM program (Participatory Ergonomics For Manual Tasks)

Facilitation of Job or Work System (Re)Design by incorporating user participatory ergonomic principles.

Examples:

  • Reviewing work systems and workspace layouts to facilitate two workgroups to come together to achieve integrated operations in an large industrial plant.
  • Review of task demands and job requirements with remote operations teams to facilitate relocation and workspace design to a city based integrated operations centre.
